About Me

Welcome to Soaps From the Ashes. I’m Jill and I’ve been making handmade soaps for over fifteen years. My first soap recipes came from a homesteading catalogue saved from the 1970’s. Over the years, my craft has evolved to the point where I’m creating my own soap molds, formulas, and selling my creations locally and now online.

My XRP soaps began with two ideas in mind. First, I love the look of XRP “coins” that artists have created images of online and this is where my soap designs originated. Second, I love the idea of actually using XRP as a form of payment in addition to the traditional payment processors. If you love XRP enough to want to scrub every inch of your body with the XRP logo, then you have come to the right place.

About the Soaps

Because of the handmade nature of these soaps, no two bars are alike. Soaps were traditionally made using naturally occurring lye from wood ashes. While I would love to create soaps using traditional methods, today’s modern methods allow soap-makers to carefully calculate the exact amount of lye needed to create soap and most modern soap-makers (myself included) will calculate in a little extra oils to ensure that no lye remains in the finished product and that the finished product is gentle on the skin. Because I create these bars using small batches, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] if you’d like to request a custom soap.
